Nonsurgical Skin Tightening Overview

At Oklahoma Plastic Surgeons, Dr. Clinton Webster offers advanced non invasive skin tightening, an innovative solution to combat anti-aging. These skin tightening procedures address common issues such as uneven texture, tone and skin laxity.

Our clinic uses the E2 Matrix Skin Tightening system, a leading option in the field for those looking for the best nonsurgical skin tightening results.

Ideal for areas like the forehead, under the eyes, mid-face and neck, this skin tightening procedure is effective across various skin types and is especially popular among men and women in their 30s to 50s.

Nonsurgical Skin Tightening Procedure Process

Our skin tightening treatments use advanced technology to heat the skin, stimulating collagen production for firmer, smoother results. Here’s how it works:

▶️Marking the treatment areas:
Dr. Clinton Webster identifies and marks the targeted areas for precise treatment.

▶️ Applying a cooling gel:
A cool gel is applied to the skin surface, ensuring comfort throughout the procedure.

▶️Energy wave application:
A small, circular handpiece gently rolls over the skin, emitting energy waves that penetrate deep into the skin’s layers.

▶️Targeted treatment areas:
Upper Arms, Thighs and Buttocks: Helps improve the appearance of cellulite and tightens lax skin.

Face, Neck and Stomach: Ideal for addressing loose skin and fine lines.

What To Expect With Nonsurgical Skin Tightening

All non invasive skin tightening sessions are conducted on-site at our Oklahoma City cosmetic surgery practice. Patients generally feel minimal to zero discomfort during the treatment.

Mild redness and tingling in the treated areas are common but lasts temporarily— patients can resume normal activities shortly after the treatment.

Initial results from skin tightening procedures appear within a few hours, with full effects typically shown over the following months, lasting up to two years.

Skin Tightening FAQs

1. Who are the ideal candidates for the skin tightening treatment?

Nonsurgical skin tightening is a procedure that improves loose skin and wrinkles, and some surface irregularities. Individuals who are not comfortable with a surgical procedure such as a facelift but still hope to slow down the visible signs of aging, likely benefit from this technique. Patients with excessive loose and sagging skin will be better candidates for a body contouring procedure.

2. How long do these results typically last?

The results following  this treatment can last up to 2 years. Like many other noninvasive anti-aging skin treatments, nonsurgical skin tightening can be repeated per Dr. Webster’s discretion. Due to these reasons, nonsurgical skin tightening has become a popular choice among both patients and cosmetic surgeons.

3. How many treatments are required to achieve desired results?

This depends on the condition of your skin, the results you wish to attain, age and the size of the area being treated. In general, it could take as few as 4-6 treatments for the face, and upwards of 10-15 treatments for the body. For optimal results, ongoing maintenance sessions are recommended.

4. Isn’t this similar to a lift?

While it is sometimes touted as a liquid facelift, the honest answer is no. While this treatment stimulates collagen and tightens underlying structures, which result in a firmer skin appearance, a surgical facelift will produce a more dramatic effect.
Patients usually consider a treatment such as nonsurgical skin tightening, or another noninvasive procedure such as BOTOX or fillers, prior to undergoing a surgical procedure.

5. How soon can I resume normal activities?

You can resume most daily activities immediately after the procedure. It’s a quick and convenient treatment, often called a “lunchtime procedure” because of the minimal downtime.

6. Is there any preparation required before my appointment?

Generally, there’s no extensive preparation. We just advise avoiding heavy sun exposure and certain skincare products, like retinoids, for a few days before treatment. Your provider will give you specific guidance.
